Basic First Aid
On a 2015 medical mission to Huancayo, Peru, it became clear there is little support in the basic education of first aid to rural communities. There is no emergency infrastructure and it often takes people 2-3 hours walking to get to the nearest clinic. Sometimes, a little bit of first aid knowledge could help prevent further infection or injury and sometimes even death. Project Inti has begun consulting and working with medical professionals, first aid instructors, and volunteers to provide basic first aid education and supplies to small communities. There is a lot of work to do, but little by little, we hope to leave behind information that can help these families.
