2022
Thankful to step out into communities again, we've helped out a few families already in the first quarter of 2022. In collaboration with local Peruvian volunteers, we have provided food and clothing items to a small community of disabled adults and a family who recently suffered a disability. We're thankful to our supporters who have continued to donate during these extremely difficult times.
2020
December 2020
In collaboration with Peru Shamans, we are hosted a pre-recorded blessing and healing ceremony with the Q'ero Shamans on Dec 8. During a time when travel is not well advised, we thought we would bring a little piece of Peru to YOU! Sometimes travel doesn't have to mean the literal sense. Sometimes the journey of the heart is ever near.
February 2020
We started out the year with a Leave No Trace (LNT) session at the annual Chasqui Association meeting in Urubamba and reached more than 500 chasquis. As our local volunteer team conducted the lessons, we also served cheese and corn. One of the interesting points we try to drive home is the importance of recycling and reducing the use of plastics. We've conducted exercises to teach the locals how long it takes for various products to break down and return to the Earth. And plastics can take an average of 500 years - the entire span of the Inca Empire! They left behind a legacy so let's make sure we carry that forward to future generations.
In late February/early March 2020, a piece of the Salkantay glacier broke away, causing an avalanche, mudslides, and severe flooding. It has wiped out small communities with more than 300 people being displaced and several being killed. The communities effected stretch along the Salkantay trail that many visitors take each year to Machu Picchu.
This campaign was been suspended due to the COVID-19 situation and our hearts go out to everyone around the globe.

2019
We did some exciting things for a couple of young girls with disabilities in the Sacred Valley, taught Leave No Trace to about 75-100 chasquis, conducted a river clean-up project w/a dozen or so young adults, and planted trees in a community of about 250-300 people. Overall, we've reached several hundred people with a small little budget, as well as, initiated discussion and action in the communities of Ollantaytambo and Rumira.
2018
Project Inti went to the South of Peru to help a community who had suffered a 7.1 magnitude earthquake in early January. In total, we helped more than 50 families. It was a story of faith and divine timing. Read our blog story to learn more about it. Thank you to everyone who helped support this project.
In February, Project Inti distributed toys to a small community living on a floating island on Lake Titicaca. The children were excited and gracious. Watch the video!
2017
Project Inti had a busy week mid-December connecting with a school along the North coast that suffered damage by the March 2017 floods. We provided community Lifestraw filters, Nokero solar lights, and some school supplies. While we were on the coast, we passed out toys to a small community. You can see our videos on Facebook to see how civilized it begins and how it ends!
During the week, we also hosted a 10K Inca race for young adults in surrounding villages of Ollantaytambo. Each class that participated won cash prizes for their school and took away a little bit of Leave No Trace knowledge with a learning activity we demonstrated.
A special thank you to the Sweeney Share the Love Foundation for raising money and awareness through the 2017 annual Boo Bash on October 20. Your help supported this amazing week of projects. We couldn't be more grateful for your love and support!
