Join us in Peru September 2-10, 2019!
Learn about Inca spirituality as we explore ancient Inca sites, including Machu Picchu, and give back to local communities.
This year's theme to our journey is Munay, which is the Quechua word for love. Our goal for this journey is to open our hearts, share our light, commune, and connect through our shared humanity.
Co-founder, Saul Palma Herrera, will lead us on this adventure. For more than 15 years, Saul has shared his passion of his culture and spirituality with visitors from around the world. A native of Ollantaytambo and deeply involved with his community, Saul welcomes you with open arms as he takes us on an amazing quest through the Lares region to Machu Picchu, sharing many Inca traditions along the way.
Why join this trip? We have designed our culture trip around hiking into some of these communities, learning about their culture and way of life, and giving back in small ways. You will get to participate and experience this culture, not just observe. We will take you to see some of the most incredible scenery that many visitors never get to witness. In addition to the amazing citadel of Machu Picchu and other breathtaking Inca sites, you will be rewarded with the generosity of these people. We promise you--we will take you on a spiritual journey you won't forget and you will return home a person forever changed!
Some of our volunteer activities will include hosting a children's Inca race in Ollantaytambo and winners are awarded funds for school supplies; disease prevention education and community outreach in Waca Wasi; and delivery of aid as we trek throughout the Lares region. We will also take an opportunity to plant trees in a small village with local villagers, returning our love to Pachamama (Mother Earth). Note: there are no prerequisites to participate. Just an open mind and heart to help.
Not only will we embark on a physical journey, but we will also take an inner wellness journey and learn Primordial Sound Mantra (PSM) meditation, yoga, basic Ayurveda, and even receive yoga massage from co-founder and co-leader Angie Parris-Raney, who is a Certified Meditation Teacher with The Chopra Center. Angie is a licensed massage professional and has studied various healing techniques over the past two decades, including Thai massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Shaman healing traditions with Peru Shamans.
This year, we are pleased to welcome our special guest volunteer co-leader, Colette Cleveland! Colette is a healer of 25 years using varied modalities including clairvoyance and vibrational alchemy attunements. She is passionate in guiding individuals to liberate from disharmony and to awaken to their authentic self and life purpose. She joins us on this pilgrimage journey to inspire the journey within and to cultivate a kinship with our local outreach program.
Our group trip will include Inca spiritual teachings and a blessing from a Q'ero Shaman. Not only is our goal to open our hearts, share our light, commune, and connect through our shared humanity, but also to provide you tools that you can use long after your journey to Peru.
